About PickleBall
Pickleball is a fun and exciting sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It's played with a paddle and a plastic ball on a court that's similar in size to a badminton court. The game can be played doubles or singles. It's easy to pick up, but can be challenging to master, making it a great activity for people of all skill levels.
Rules of PickleBall
1. The game is played to 11 points, or winning by two points if the score reaches 10. Best of 3 sets.
2. The non-volley zone (the kitchen) is a 7-foot area on both sides of the net, where players are not allowed to hit the ball in the air (volley) or step inside the zone unless the ball has bounced inside the kitchen.
3. You can only score points if you are in possession of the serve. Serve underarm, contact below the waist.
4. The serve is made by hitting the ball from behind the baseline, and it must bounce in the crosscourt. The serve must be clean without touching the net and not land in the no volley or kitchen area.
5. There is only 1 chance at serving the ball in pickleball, no second serve
6. Each time you score, on serve, alternate the place from where it was served (left/right) changing the position of the serving team.
7. In doubles each team will receive two serves, one for each partner, except for the team that serves to start the game. The team that serves to start the game will only receive one serve.
8. The same server continues to serve until he loses a point.
9. If your opponent serves and you (the receiver) win the point, you do not score a point.
However you regain the serve giving you the opportunity to score on the next point.
10. The Double Bounce Rule: it is not allowed to volley the ball unless previously, the ball has bounced once on each side of the court. No serve and immediate volley.
